Our trip to Kodiak was made possible by Brenda and Dave’s generosity.  They drove us to the Anchorage airport, almost an hour away from our camp and picked us up on our return.  Tks D&B!  My cousin Paul, picked us up at the airport.  Kodiak is a small island of about 14,000 people.  7k of

Is it Sunday already?  Wow…what a week, especially for Greg & Helen.  They were able to fly to Kodiak Island and spend a few days with Greg’s cousin.  We are publishing a separate blog just for their fun adventure and of course, complete with their gorgeous pictures.  Please do not miss reading about their fun.

As we left our northernmost stop of Fairbanks and headed south, traveling back the way we came on the Parks Highway, it was a beautiful day, with a clear blue sky.  And not long into our drive, there she was in the distance…Denali.   Spectacular!   We stopped several times, each overlook giving us a different view

We saw Denali again!  First on Friday morning and then again early on a crisp Monday morning.  It was 43°, but with the wind chill it was 34°  And this is their summer!
